Sanctify the United States of America - My Prayer

The following was my invocation prayer that I was invited to offer at the Androscoggin County GOP 2-11-2012 Caucus. The whole assembly participated at the time of the Our Father, and at the conclusion, there was a very strong applause. This was a great opportunity for prayer and witness for Christ.

  

In the Name of The Father and of the Son and of The Holy Spirit, Amen.

O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth; Who art everywhere present and fillest all things; Treasury of blessings, and giver of life: come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O Gracious Lord.

Christ our true God,

We thank You for Your many blessings,

We thank You for this gathering of Your people today,

You know the hearts and the minds of each of us,

Before You O Lord we are not perfect and all of us are in true need of Your real presence,

We are not perfect and yet we are all related, all one family of God’s beautiful children.

Our Country was given by You to us, O God.  We have been blessed with freedom at the cost of many lives,

and we ask for your special blessing in these trying times upon the United States of America.

We ask you O Lord to Sanctify this Country,

Make this Country Holy through Your presence sanctifying each person in their hearts and lives.

Changing and inspiring each person from within the very depths of their souls to seek You O Lord.

Please Sanctify these people here today with Your Divine Presence.

We also ask O Lord to give us the gift of the presence of Holy Spirit in this meeting and in each day of our lives.

Through prayer and calling upon Your Presence, O Christ our mission is to sanctify this country, its people and its land by Your real and tangible Presence.

Bless this Country of Christ!

Sanctify the people and the land!

Bless those who offer their labors for this country in office, public service and our armed forces.

Bless them O Lord and All the people here present to be sanctified and continually carry Your presence inside of them,

I hope this prayer is a true understanding of our mission to bring Christ's real presence to dwell in everything, everywhere and everyone.
